More about the Gig Buddies Project Co-ordinator roles

You will be responsible for supporting the work of our Gig Buddies project.

This is a varied and fun role, but we also need people who are committed to working hard to address the inequalities that many people with learning disabilities face in their day to day lives. One post will focus on developing the project in East Sussex and the other in West Sussex.

One day per week will typically be spent working in our office in Brighton and the other 2 days out in the community.

The work pattern will most typically be along the lines of:

Tues, Weds, Thurs days with 2 evenings and 1 Saturday per month.

We would particularly welcome applications from people who live in East and West Sussex, or who have a good working knowledge of the local cultural scenes in the towns across either county.

Stay Up Late Campaign Co-ordinator

Our charity started off as the ‘Stay Up Late Campaign’ – seeking to enable people with learning disabilities to lead full and active social lives.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop our campaigning work even further.

Our overall mission is to end inflexible support systems and this job will suit someone who is not daunted by this task but will embrace the challenge to help us achieve our aims.

You will need to be a creative thinker, have experience of working with people with learning disabilities and also be confident in facilitating groups and speaking to different audiences.

You will be based in our office in central Brighton and we can be flexible about which days you work, and the hours you work.

You will also be responsible for supporting our office volunteers who have learning disabilities.
