The Rockhouse turns 30! Brighton
Here’s a message from our friends at The Rockhouse:
Next week we celebrate the 30th Rock House. On Tuesday the 17th April we will be bring the ROCK to the Westhill Hall in Brighton for the 30th time!!! I think that now makes us an adult?
We have some extra special performances on the night, including the return of Nukeboy and their hypnotic blend of loops, keyboards and vocals, and also a rare headline performance from Rock House favourites The Fuzzbomb Band! Not only that but the night will be a celebration of our new collaboration and partnership with Carousel – the award winning learning disability arts organisation who trains and supports many of the musicians that perform at the Rock House each month. We’re very proud to be working with them and are very excited about what the future holds for the Rock House and all the amazing music produced there!
One band that Carousel has supported since their very beginning is Beat Express, they’re celebrating their 10th anniversary as a band this year and one of their goals is to play their first gig abroad. They have an amazing opportunity to perform at the finals of the International Song Competition held in Cork, Ireland in June 2012!
They will have the opportunity to perform with a live orchestra on the stage at Cork City Hall. It will be a fantastic experience for the band to play overseas and a chance to tell lots of new people about all the great things we do here in Brighton!
