Starry News – February 2011

Happy New Year to everyone! We hope that 2011 will be a good one for you. Here is our news from Under the Stars and Reach 4 the Stars.

Sheffield

Our next nightclub at the Hubs isn’t until April 28th but we are still busy! We had a directors meeting in January and are pleased to have a lot of new people joining us.

We are running a raffle to raise funds – the first prize is 2 tickets for X factor on March 1st at Motorpoint Arena (Hallam FM Arena). Tickets (£1 for 5)  at the Doncaster nightclub on February 24th.

Eddy Jackson, our co-chair and DJ has got Small Sparks money to do a sponsored walk on March 20th at Don Valley Stadium. If you would like to take part, please ring us on 0114 2750423.

Rotherham

We will be holding the first Under the Stars nightclub in Rotherham at Liquid and Envy on March 24th.

Doncaster

We are looking forward to going back to Trinity nightclub in Doncaster on February 24th. Please ring 07834547484 or 07942230249 for more details

Barnsley

We had our first Under the Stars nightclub in Barnsley on January 27th at Escapade. We think it went really well, 280 people came. There were 5 DJs from Sheffield who enjoyed meeting new people. The volunteers from Barnsley Mencap were nice to talk to and did a great job. Thanks to everyone in Barnsley.

Carl’s News

‘We have got a new name for our band, The Stars. We have finished making our video, it’s going to be on YouTube. The song is called Under the Stars.’
