Be a Gig Buddy Volunteer

As a Gig Buddy you’ll be asked to meet up with the same person with a learning disability each month so you can both go out together to gigs and events that you both enjoy.

It doesn’t matter if that’s rock concerts, raves, poetry recitals, shows or nature walks. It’s all about finding a connection and using that to build a friendship.

“When we go out to gigs we want to stay for the whole thing not leave when the carer says it’s time to go.”
– Daniel Randall-Nason, Stay Up Late Ambassador
Going to gigs, clubbing, karaoke, pizza nights, theatre shows – there’s no shortage of things you can do to enjoy a great night out. But far too often people with a learning disability are told there isn’t the staff to support them to be out late at night.
We work to challenge that outdated thinking. Get involved in our #NoBedtimes campaign and help us fight for the right to party.
