A creative day with Heart n Soul
A team from Stay Up Late visit Heart n Soul in London
Report by Daniel Randall-Nason
Recently, a group of us from Stay Up Late went to London for a day of sharing ideas and creative activities with Heart n Soul.
I talked about what Stay Up Late does as a charity. Andrew talked about our manifesto and our campaigns and Jason, Darren and Rohan did a rap. We also heard from people involved in Camden Disability Action, too. One of the people they have is a jargon buster. It is her job to speak up if anyone starts talking in jargon or writing jargon. We really liked that idea.
After the sharing ideas part of the day we all broke up into groups for creative activities. A guy from Camden was showing us how to DJ so I had a go on his sound deck. I played the xylophone in the music room and we also did an art project where we thought about the important people in our life.
We look forward to working more with Heart n Soul and Camden Disability Action and we look forward to welcoming Heart n Soul to the Stay Up Late offices in Brighton in January.
