On 20 October, the government announced that it is going to remove the mobility component of the Disability Living Allowance from people living in residential care homes. This change will affect 58,000 disabled people, who use this benefit to access the community and means that getting out at all, let alone Staying Up Late, will be a real issue. We already here that people aren't living full and active lives due to transport problems so this can only make matters worse.
So please sign up to Mencap's campaign and tell the Government that they've got this one wrong.
